Wirral Mind

Wirral Mind provides services for people who have mental health needs in Chester Street Birkenhead, St Catherine's Hospital and in the community throughout Wirral.

There are 6 service areas that we run:

* A drop in club, with activities and supports
* An education and training project
* A counselling service
* A befriending Service
* An advocacy service for people with learning disabilities
* A floating support service

The organisation was founded in 1967 by a group of local people and was known as the Wirral Association for Mental Health. Although remaining autonomous it was affiliated to National Mind in the 1980s.
